Seasonal Wreath Care

Oxford Bloom wreaths are full of the season’s most beautiful blooms and include lots of flowering bulbs, spring plants and fresh aromatic foliage. They are made on a fully hand-mossed wireframe base. Therefore they are heavy and will require a suitable fixing to ensure they are hung securely.

Living wreaths need to be watered regularly and not allowed to dry out. To water the wreath, lay it on a flat surface and gently water around the wreath. Bulbs will only need a little dribble of water however, make sure that the living plants get plenty of moisture. Take care not to get the decorations wet if possible. You can also gently turn the wreath over to ensure the mossed base is damp. Wreaths are best positioned outside and should ideally be slightly sheltered from the elements to avoid damage to the decorations. Of course, you can always display your wreath indoors, but please note, you may need to water it more regularly.

Your wreath has a few ‘tubed’ flowers to add that extra oomph! When these have faded, you can remove them from the wreath by gently pulling the tube from the base. If you want to add new flowers, wash the tube, add water and carefully reinsert the tube with a new fresh flower! You can plant all the bulbs on the wreath in the garden or a container, ready to return next spring!

Every care is taken to ensure that any exposed wires are tucked away safely, however, due to the materials used and the natural drying process, some may become exposed over time. Check the back of your wreath when you water it and carefully fold over any wire ends, pushing them back into the mossed base. Because the wreath base will be moist, please take care if it comes into contact with unprotected surfaces.

Oxford Bloom accepts no liability for any damage caused by the wreath materials.
